NEW VOLUNTEERS

Start Here

This page is the simplest path into the production team. It pulls the most important next steps into one place, so you do not need to sort through the whole training site before your first serve day.

Your First Steps

If you are brand new, do these in order. This will cover the practical pieces without dumping every advanced guide on you at once.

1

Start with Planning Center

Download the Planning Center Services app, turn on notifications, and enter blockout dates as soon as you know them.

Learn the Big Picture

Read through the Production Team Foundations and Expectations so you understand how we serve the room and support the message.

Choose a Role to Start In

Most new volunteers will focus on one role first. Camera, graphics, and stage are common starting points depending on interest and need.

What to Expect on Your First Serve Day

  • Arrive at your role-specific call time and plan to stay for all services that day.
  • Check in on the iPad in the Green Room for every service you are serving.
  • Wear dark clothing, long pants, and comfortable closed-toe shoes unless you were told otherwise.
  • Expect a talk-through, run-through, team prayer, and then the live services.
  • Ask questions during rehearsal or before live moments, not in the middle of service execution.

Best Mindset to Bring

Come ready to learn, listen, and support the team instead of trying to master everything in one weekend.

We care about excellence, but we do not expect a new volunteer to know every workflow on day one.

Ask questions early, receive feedback well, and focus on serving the room without becoming a distraction.
